I’m Caleb Harmon-Marshall, creator of Gate Access and a former TSA officer with 8 years of experience. In 2022, I was forced out of my job for educating travelers about their security rights on TikTok.
So I built something bigger.
Gate Access started as a mission, and it’s still that. I believe the best travel information comes from the people working the jobs – not from press releases written by departments whose only interest is protecting the agency or company.
Since leaving TSA, I’ve built a network that goes well beyond the checkpoint. I have personal relationships with flight attendants, gate agents, Customs & Border Protection officers, and dozens of other aviation professionals across every travel vertical.
That access gives Views something no other travel blog has – real perspectives from the frontline, not the press box.
My most notable moment so far is when I broke the news that TSA was ending the shoes-off policy before any major outlet had it.
That story generated national media attention and set the tone for what Gate Access is about.
Views is the only travel blog of its kind. I take that seriously, and I hold myself to a high standard to produce content I’ll still be proud of years from now.
